Lenasia, Johannesburg – In a tragic turn of events, a man was shot and killed outside the Lenasia Magistrates’ Court in the south of Johannesburg this morning, 21 January 2025. The victim, reportedly a key witness in a case scheduled to be heard today, was fatally shot four times.
The shooting occurred just outside the court premises, cutting short the life of the witness before he could testify. Authorities are investigating the incident, and the motive behind the killing is yet to be determined.
This brazen act has raised concerns about the safety of witnesses in ongoing court cases. The police are currently pursuing leads to apprehend the perpetrators.
