VERULAM, KZN – A vehicle overturned on the northbound lane of the R102 between Verulam and Canelands this morning, leaving one person injured. The incident occurred around 07:46 when a grey VW Golf swerved to avoid a pedestrian who suddenly ran into traffic.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene and found the vehicle lying on its side. The driver, who sustained minor injuries, reported losing control of the car while trying to avoid the pedestrian. Fortunately, she did not require emergency medical services.
Authorities are investigating the incident, and motorists are advised to exercise caution in the area.
