BOHLOKONG – The Bethlehem and Bohlokong police have arrested two suspects, aged 18 and 20, from Bohlokong in connection with the alleged murder of 10-year-old Hlonolofatso Mokoena. The young boy's body was found near the Bakenpark graveyard with multiple stab wounds. A murder investigation is underway, although the motive for the crime remains unknown.
Hlonolofatso Mokoena was last seen on Thursday, 9 January 2025, at approximately 09:00, playing with other children in the street. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown Soviet sandals at the time. Tragically, his lifeless body was later discovered, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
The two arrested suspects are expected to appear before the Bethlehem Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 13 January 2025, where they will face charges of murder.
