UMHLANGA – Two brothers have been arrested in connection with the murder of prominent businessman Shailen Singh, who was fatally shot in his Toyota Hilux on Meridian Drive, Umhlanga, on Sunday.

According to police reports, the two suspects, aged 35 and 40, were apprehended after an investigation linked them to the crime. Two vehicles believed to have been used in the murder were also seized.

Sources indicate that the main suspect is a well-known figure in the local security industry, though authorities have not yet confirmed this detail.

The pair is expected to appear in court on Friday to face charges related to the murder.

Singh, a respected businessman in the area, was laid to rest yesterday. His grieving family and friends have called for swift justice, urging the authorities to ensure that those responsible for his death are held accountable.
