Teenage Girl Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing in Modimolle

MODIMOLLE, LIMPOPO – A 16-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old man in Phagameng, Modimolle, on New Year’s Day.
According to authorities, the incident occurred after an altercation between the two. Initial reports suggest that the man confronted the teenager and allegedly assaulted her upon seeing her with another individual. While attempting to flee, the girl was reportedly pursued and attacked again. In an alleged act of self-defense, she used a knife from her bag to stab him.

The man collapsed at the corner of Moloantoa and Selemela Streets in Extension 8, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The teenager has been taken into police custody and is expected to appear in the Modimolle Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
