A horrific incident occurred on October 30, 2024, at approximately 00:35, in Khonqeni location, Xhongorha A/A, Bhityi, where eight school girls were asleep in the same rondavel when two unknown men forced their way inside. The suspects robbed the girls of their cellphones and raped five of them.
The police are urging anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward. A cash reward of up to R50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspects.
