Family Calls for Justice Following Road Rage Shooting
A family in Johannesburg is seeking justice after the tragic death of their 33-year-old son, Koketso Komane, who was fatally shot during an alleged road rage incident on Sandton Drive last Friday.
According to the family, the shooter claimed self-defense, alleging he believed Komane was attempting to hijack him. Despite Komane being unarmed, the suspect stated he fired his weapon because he thought Komane was reaching for a gun.
Suspect Granted Bail in Koketso Komane Case
The accused, Yusuf Mohammed, appeared in the Alexandra Magistrate's Court, where he was granted bail of R5000.
This decision came after video footage surfaced, reportedly showing Komane as the aggressor during the altercation. Based on the footage, the investigating officer advised the prosecution not to oppose bail.
The case has been postponed to 11 February 2025 for further proceedings as investigations continue.
