Penuel The Black Pen, well-known social media personality, recently shared a heartfelt post detailing his ongoing struggles with co-parenting and access to three of his seven children. In his post, Penuel revealed that he made the difficult decision three months ago to stop financial contributions for the three children he has been unable to see and halted legal proceedings aimed at enforcing his parental rights.

Penuel explained that his decision stems from years of frustration and emotional pain caused by parental alienation. "I’ve struggled with access to Zulu Mlotshwa for 11 years," he shared, referring to his child living in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. He also disclosed difficulties with his other two children, Shaka and Kulxa, based in Durban, whom he has not been able to host in Johannesburg for six years.

The activist father has resolved only to contribute to his children’s livelihoods and education if he can spend quality time with them in Johannesburg, where he resides. "I realized that I've been an enabler of toxic behavior over the years," he admitted, adding that court cases and parenting plans have failed to enforce his rights to be present in their lives.

Penuel also expressed gratitude to the mothers of his other four children, acknowledging their cooperation in fostering healthy co-parenting relationships.

"My story is here to inspire other fathers to also speak out against parental alienation," he concluded, emphasizing the importance of creating spaces where good fathers can address such challenges without facing societal judgment.

The post has resonated with many fathers experiencing similar issues, while also sparking debates on the complexities of co-parenting and the impact of strained parental relationships on children.
