Durban, South Africa – Police in Mondlo have arrested four suspects following the recovery of four cattle carcasses suspected to have been stolen from a kraal in the Mvunzini area. The theft occurred on Thursday, 28 November 2024, prompting swift action from law enforcement.
Police Operation Leads to Arrests
After the theft was reported, a coordinated operation was launched involving officers from Crime Prevention, the Community Service Centre, and detectives. The team conducted a raid in the Madresini area, where they apprehended three suspects in possession of four cattle carcasses believed to be stolen.
The suspects, aged 27, 38, and 39, were taken into custody.
Court Appearance
The accused are expected to appear in the Vryheid Magistrate’s Court today, facing charges of possession of suspected stolen cattle and stock theft.
