Witsloot, Northern Cape – Police are on the hunt for a suspect, Mayeso Ginora Lufeyo, believed to be involved in the daring theft of gold and silver bars valued at R40 million. The incident occurred during a farm robbery in Witsloot in 2022.
According to police reports, Lufeyo and three accomplices entered the farmhouse armed with a shotgun and concealed their identities with balaclavas. In addition to the gold and silver bars, the suspects also made off with a rifle.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Lufeyo or his accomplices to come forward. Warrant Officer Rooiland is leading the investigation and can be contacted at 082 770 5219. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be reported via Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
The stolen items represent a significant loss, and police have intensified efforts to locate the suspects and recover the stolen property.
