Western Cape – A disturbing triple homicide that claimed the lives of two young women and a young man in Khayelitsha on Sunday night is currently under investigation. Authorities have intensified their efforts, with detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit working to identify and apprehend those responsible.
The tragic incident unfolded at approximately 20:20 on Sunday evening when police responded to a call reporting a murder in Island Site C, Khayelitsha. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a 26-year-old male in a passageway, fatally wounded by a gunshot. Shortly thereafter, the bodies of two females, also in their twenties, were found nearby in a shack, both of whom had sustained gunshot wounds.
The motive for the murders remains unknown, and authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. Police are urging anyone with information regarding the circumstances of the incident, or who may be able to identify the suspects, to come forward.
