After eight years of providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children with disabilities in Emaphupheni, Queen Madonsela Stimulation Centre, founded by Sibongile Bodibe, continues its mission to expand and enhance its services. Last year’s Fun Walk, held in partnership with the Bonamelo Melisizwe Foundation, was a great success, enabling the Centre to complete crucial facility upgrades. Now, in 2024, the Centre is gearing up for another impactful event as they plan their Annual 5K Fun Walk, set to take place on Saturday, 7 December 2024, from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the eTwatwa community, City of Ekurhuleni.
This year’s walk will coincide with the International Day of Persons Living with Disabilities, aiming to raise funds for the installation of a walled fence, CCTV, ramps, burglar bars, and a dedicated play area for children with autism at the Centre.
