Police are currently searching for a suspect in connection with the tragic death of a six-year-old girl in Orlando, Soweto, on Monday, 21 October 2024.
According to initial reports, the child had been playing with other children when she was approached by the suspect, who allegedly lured her to his rented residence. Authorities believe the suspect may have harmed the girl while inside the home.
The incident was reported to law enforcement, who responded immediately and launched a manhunt for the suspect, who is now on the run.
Police have released the name of a person of interest, Pethe Sara Simiao, who may have valuable information to assist the investigation.
