Police Open Murder Investigation After Burned Body Found Along R71 Near Zanghoma Village

Letsitele, Limpopo – The Letsitele police under the Mopani District have opened a murder investigation following the disturbing discovery of a badly burned body along the R71 public road near Zanghoma village on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, around 16:45. The gruesome scene has left the local community on edge as police work to identify the victim and uncover the motive behind the incident.

According to reports, authorities were alerted to the scene and arrived to find a body burned beyond recognition, with wood and stones placed on top. Police suspect foul play, although the reason for the brutal act remains unknown at this stage.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is appealing to the public for assistance in gathering information that could lead to answers in this case.
