39-Year-Old Teacher Found Dead in Malamulele; Suspect at Large

Malamulele, Limpopo – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Malamulele, under the Vhembe District, has launched a manhunt after the lifeless body of a 39-year-old female teacher was discovered in her residence on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in Sasekani village, Basani. The tragic incident has left the local community in shock as police intensify efforts to locate a known male suspect believed to have been living with the deceased.

According to police reports, authorities were alerted to a murder at the teacher’s residence. Upon arrival, a family member directed police to a one-room house, which was locked. Police officers forced entry and found the woman’s body lying in a pool of blood. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene and confirmed that the victim had died.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim, a primary school teacher, shared the residence with a male companion whose current whereabouts are unknown. While the motive behind the tragic incident remains unclear, authorities have not ruled out the possibility of a domestic-related dispute.

SAPS has intensified the search for the suspect, urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.
