The Gauteng Department of Health (GDoH) is investigating allegations made by a patient, Mr. Tom London, about Helen Joseph Hospital, which were shared on social media. The department is working to verify the facts and address the issues raised.
As part of its commitment to improving healthcare services, the GDoH launched the "I Serve With A Smile" campaign nine months ago, which aims to enhance staff attitude and patient care. This program is being gradually implemented across various healthcare facilities.
