Mpumalanga police have recently uncovered the remains of Bonisiwe Mabuza, 37, who was tragically murdered and buried in a shallow grave at the Luphisa cemetery in Pienaar outside Nelspruit. Her disappearance was reported last Tuesday, and on the same day, her VW Polo was discovered in a secluded area in Pienaar, stripped of its wheels, a side mirror, and the backseat. Furthermore, various items were missing from her residence, including a fridge and a TV set.

According to police spokesperson Col Donald Mdhluli, a man and a woman were taken in for questioning over the weekend, leading to a significant breakthrough and the recovery of some items believed to have been stolen from the victim. Furthermore, a third suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police on Monday. All three individuals are now in custody as suspects, facing charges of murder, kidnapping, and house robbery. Additional charges could potentially be brought against them as the investigation progresses.

The three suspects are due to appear at the Kanyamazane magistrates court on Wednesday.
