Jacob Zuma Expelled from ANC Over MK Party Endorsement

The uMkhonto we Sizwe Party has announced that its leader Jacob Zuma will be consulting with his legal team regarding his expulsion from the ANC. Zuma has 21 days to appeal the decision, as per leaked draft documents obtained by the SABC. The documents state that the ANC's national disciplinary committee found Zuma guilty of compromising the party's integrity by collaborating with the MK Party, following a virtual disciplinary hearing last Tuesday.

MK party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela has declared that they will not tolerate what he sees as a serious injustice against their leader. The MK Party has expressed shock and dismay at the leaked outcomes of the national disciplinary committee, which recommend Zuma's expulsion from the ANC. Zuma, a former leader of the ANC, has been charged with violating rule 25.17 of the ANC constitution for announcing that he will not campaign or vote for the ANC in the 2024 elections. Additionally, he faces charges for his involvement in the registration of the (MK) Party as a political party.
