Euphoria actor Angus Cloud dies at 25

Euphoria actor Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, a drug dealer with a moral code, passed away at the age of 25. He was a breakout star of the Emmy-award winning HBO series starring Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi. Cloud was known for his humor, laughter, and love, and his family buried his father last week. The star's family hoped that his passing could serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight mental health alone.

Cloud was one of the breakout stars of the Emmy-award winning show in 2019, appearing in both series alongside Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi. The character of Fezco O'Neill develops a close bond with the protagonist, Zendaya, who leaves rehab at the beginning of the series but is still dealing with addiction. At the end of the series, Fez is arrested by police after a shootout. The highly acclaimed show has won numerous awards, including two Emmys and a Golden Globe for Zendaya.

Co-star Javon Walton called Cloud his "forever family." HBO expressed its deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time. Storm Reid, who played Zendaya's on-screen younger sister Gia Bennett, shared a clip of Cloud laughing on the show, while Gigi Hadid remembered Cloud after they starred together in a 2022 Christmas campaign for Ralph Lauren Fragrances. Canadian rapper Drake, who serves as executive producer on Euphoria, shared a picture of Cloud on his Instagram story, captioning it "Good soul" alongside a sad face emoji and a white dove.

Cloud was offered a part in Euphoria after a casting scout spotted him in a New York street. He later pushed back against suggestions that playing his character was "easy" due to similarities they shared. He told Variety that he brought a lot to the character and that it ain't got nothing to do with him.
