Saudi football club Al Nassr reportedly targets Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea, who left Manchester United on June 30. De Gea, who signed for 19.5 million British pounds ($25m) in 2011, was offered a contract by the club for 250,000 euros ($272,000) weekly. The club is expected to resume talks with de Gea about a new contract after his wedding this weekend. The Spanish international made 545 appearances for the Red Devils and broke the club's clean sheets record earlier this season. Al Nassr is also looking to sign Croatian Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan.
If de Gea moves to Al Nassr, he will be reunited with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, a trailblazer for other players moving to the Saudi pro league. Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is also interested in signing Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. De Gea, who has played 545 matches for the Red Devils, won the Premier League title once in 2013. Ten Hag has instructed him to search for replacements for de Gea after a season filled with mistakes and poor play.
