In a heartwarming display of kindness and compassion, former senior news reporter at Newsroom Africa, Pelane Phakgadi, came to the rescue of a stranded driver on the N1 freeway towards Mokopane.
According to a tweet from the young lady, who remains unnamed, she was stranded on the freeway at 4 am with a broken-down car. Pelane noticed her car on the side of the road and stopped to help.
He not only changed her tire but also directed her to the nearest dealer to get a new one. To her surprise, he refused to accept payment for his services.
The tweet read, "Out of context but I’m still grateful for you when you helped me with my car on N1 towards Mokopane. I had stuck since 4am and you changed my tire then assured me to the next dealer and made sure I get a new tire, and yah you did not take a cent from me. Forever grateful abuti.

I'm happy you got home safe. We can do more in helping others... safety and life first, anything else after. God bless you and your bundle you carried on the day, I'm sure he or she came with more blessings.
