According to eNCA, Unions in the public sector are requesting that the government provide a better salary rise offer by today. Fedusa and Sadtu claim they have a 7% raise but are still looking for a better deal.
Fedusa General Secretary Riefdah Ajam said the following:
We have asked government to review their offer to offset the ravages of inflation and make sure ultimately make sure that we uphold the mandate that has been given to us by our members from the start of the demands we have moved from ten percent Now we are looking at eight percent,"
It is unclear if the government will give in to their demands.
