The Weeknd is the most well-known musician in the entire world.
According to Guinness World Records, the singer-songwriter, whose actual name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, is statistically the most well-known artist on the globe (GWR).
The group said earlier this week that "no one else even comes close."
The 33-year-old Canadian singer has created two brand-new Guinness World Records. As of March 20, he has 111.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the most of any artist. He also made history as the first musician to receive 100 million monthly listeners.
According to GWR, TikTok had a role in The Weeknd's rise after he collaborated with Grande on the song "Die for You," which became a popular video on the app. The Weeknd reached the top place for the seventh time as the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. In The Weeknd's album "Starboy," the first version of "Death for You" was made available in 2016.
GWR is no stranger to The Weeknd. He received honors in 2016 for having the most-streamed album on Spotify and being the most extended continuous solo male artist in the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10.
