On Saturday, March 18, 2023, the Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele, and the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), General Fannie Masemola, will make a status of preparedness visit to KwaZulu-Natal operations.
The purpose of the visit is to inspect and ensure that KZN police are prepared to police the planned demonstration on Monday, March 20, 2023.
Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, the Provincial Commissioner of KZN, will be part of the visit to operations, which will begin with an address to an interdisciplinary parade.
