The Democratic Alliance (DA) has formally opposed the EFF's planned statewide shutdown on Monday in the North Gauteng High Court. During a press conference, DA leader John Steenhuisen described the party's response to various social media threats.
The High Court in Johannesburg has dismissed the DA's application to have Monday's EFF shutdown declared unlawful. The court also ruled that protestors may not shut down roads, schools, and businesses.
