On Wednesday night in Limpopo, four individuals suffered injuries when the cars they were riding crashed with an elephant.
Two bakkies collided with the elephant on the R71 west of Gravelotte, according to ER24. When emergency responders arrived, they saw the elephant lying on the road and the bakkies nearby.
Sadly, the elephant died from its wounds, while four men and a lady only suffered slight to severe injuries.
The collision victims were sent to local hospitals for further treatment.
Although the incident's circumstances are unknown, ER24 said that officials were on the site to conduct more investigations.
