According to CNN, Wall Street reported that Elon Musk and his firms, Boring Co., Tesla, and SpaceX, will buy hundreds of acres of property in Texas to build a town where his workers may live and work.
County deeds, other property documents, emails, internal corporate correspondence, state license records, and interviews with land owners and municipal and county authorities are cited in the study.
Musk wants his company's employees to be able to live in new homes with below-market rentals, and he plans to develop more than 100 residences, as well as neighborhood amenities like a pool and an outdoor sports area.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will host a public meeting to discuss proposals for a wastewater treatment facility in Bastrop County, encompassing 11 parcels of land along the Colorado River. According to the Austin American Statesman, the same company owns several surrounding pieces of property. But, the district has not gotten an application for incorporation from Musk or any of his organizations, which requires a set number of inhabitants. Tesla did not reply quickly to a request for clarification on the allegation.
